This year 12 participants cooked with their sweat, love, and hope for the Annual Chili Cookoff on March 21st.

As of January 1, 2013, Boulder Associates architects Todd Henderson and James Lenhart have been promoted to Principal. Michael Zabritski has been promoted to Senior Associate, and Tatyana Lemon and Jeff Beardsley have been promoted to the Associate level. Congratulations!

On December 6, 2012, Boulder Associates continued the tradition of helping children create gifts for their families in Denver and Sacramento. This year our crafts were handmade coffee coozies and miniature wreaths. Everyone had a great time, and we look forward to next year!

Due to growing staff and project workloads, today the OC office is packing up and heading down the street to a bigger, better space. The new 4,250 s.f. office will provide a more conducive and open environment for our ten employees.

Our Sacramento office participated in this year’s IIDA NC Merge event, where teams are given three random materials and only two and a half hours to design and create a fashion ensemble ready for the runway. Our team did an amazing job and won BEST IN SHOW!

All the offices came together for our annual Colorado retreat on August 23rd and 24th.

Our family is growing! In order to extend our leading expertise in healthcare and senior living design to the southwest region of the United States, Boulder Associates opened an office in Dallas-Fort Worth in June of 2012. Our Dallas team is excited to be building upon our already growing body of work in Texas.

On May 30th, biscuits and family trekked to Denver for our annual Rockies game day. We enjoyed hot dogs, home runs, and sunshine at Coors Field, while the Rockies beat the Astros with an incredible score of 13-5!

Craig Mulford, AIA, ACHA, has joined the Lean Construction Institute as a member of the 2012 LCI Board of Directors. LCI’s criteria for the new board members includes the ability to hold an executive position, the authority to marshal resources within the firm to help the organization succeed, a demonstrated leadership in local and national industry organizations, and the skill, drive, time, and chemistry to succeed as an integral part of a team.

Boulder Associate volunteers and family members helped make and serve breakfast on Saturday at the Ronald McDonald House. The big hits of the morning were fruit salad and blueberry bread.

On Saturday, July 16th, Boulder Associates had the opportunity to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and helped complete a two-story duplex in Denver. Seven volunteers worked alongside the future owners and got their hands, clothes, and faces spotted with white as they primed and painted the interior.

The Colorado State Veterans Center at Homelake received LEED for Homes Platinum certification on April 20th for the renovation of 24-duplex cottages.

Nine BA volunteers and their family members helped prepare and serve breakfast on Sunday, April 17th.
