Capital Imaging Center

Radiological Associates of Sacramento asked Boulder Associates to design a beautiful building that would enhance the patient experience, save money, and increase revenue.

On a tight site within the historic Alahambra District of Sacramento, the design team inverted the traditional "parking below" paradigm, placing the imaging center on garden and first floor levels and parking on upper floors.

This approach not only saved money, it achieved direct patient access, simplified parking, created required windowless work areas for imaging protocols, and matched the mixed-use aesthetic of the neighborhood.
