Melissa Pesci is Chief Executive Officer of Boulder Associates, overseeing strategy and operations across the company’s national practice. As the firm’s first CEO, she is dedicated to aligning teams and clients, driving innovation, and guiding the firm’s evolution while maintaining its collaborative culture.

Melissa brings nearly two decades of experience in architecture and design leadership. Before joining Boulder Associates, she was Vice President and Principal at HGA Architects and Engineers, where she played a key role in the growth and development of the firm’s San Francisco office and served on the board of directors. Her leadership experience spans practice management, organizational strategy, and multidisciplinary collaboration in complex project environments.

Known for her transparent and approachable leadership, Melissa values open dialogue, shared learning, and diverse perspectives as drivers of strong decision-making and design outcomes. She is passionate about fostering alignment across organizations and building environments where teams can do meaningful work, grow professionally, and deliver exceptional results for clients.

Based in Boulder Associates’ San Francisco office, Melissa collaborates with leaders and teams across all locations to advance the firm’s mission of creating innovative, research-informed environments that center the human experience. Under her leadership, the firm continues to expand its impact across Early Education, Healthcare, Science and Technology, Senior Living, and Workplace sectors nationwide.
