Eskaton Gold River Lodge Assisted Living Facility  |  Gold River, California

Boulder Associates programmed and designed this 81,000 s.f. assisted living home to serve the growing need for specific levels of care, and maximized the use of the four-acre site located in the heart of a mature residential area. The facility was designed to enhance the abilities of residents, promote their independence, and improve their quality of life. This was executed via innovative functional efficiencies that allow for staff to focus on quality of care and personal interaction with residents.

Twenty two units were designed to create a residential-based home for people with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. The remaining 72 units are designed to give residents who need assistance with some activities of daily living the most independence possible. The warm, lodge-like interior design style is seen throughout the lobby, lounges, sunrooms, porches, and apartments, which are clustered in “neighborhoods” centered on a family room, kitchen, and laundry.

Eskaton Gold River Lodge won the Contemporary Long Term Care Magazine's Order of Excellence Award for Function and
Room Plan.
