Hoag Tustin Legacy Medical Office Building  |  Tustin, California

The 60,469 s.f. Hoag Tustin Legacy Medical Office Building integrates multi-level healthcare services within a 22-acre retail center that reflects the casual, contemporary architecture characteristic of the Southern California region. The facility offers urgent care, imaging, diagnostics, lab, pediatrics, and physical therapy services in order to meet the needs of the rapidly growing family-oriented community surrounding it.

The programming of this facility was based on analyzing industry trends coupled with specific identified needs of the rapidly growing family-oriented community surrounding it. Hoag’s vision was to provide exceptional care to the local community while exhibiting their clean contemporary brand of healthcare and to communicate their initiative of "high-tech high-touch."

The design uses timeless accents of stone, wood, and metal accents to follow suit with the retail portion of the site allowing the landscape to blend the scale between the highly traveled roads around the site and the surrounding residential space.

Conservation of natural resources was another focus for the project, which achieved LEED Silver certification. Green features include environmentally friendly alternatives for commuting and incentives for reduced emission vehicles. The facility is adjacent to a bus stop and is located just ¾ mile from a local transit system (Metrolink) station. The site itself is a repurposing of the former grounds of a decommissioned Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS-Tustin).
