Providence Tarzana Infusion Clinic
Tarzana, CA
With the Tarzana Medical Center undergoing upgrades, Providence moved its infusion suite from an inpatient to an outpatient environment. This 3,700 s.f. tenant improvement allows the infusion clinic to remain nearby in a building directly across the street from the hospital.
Featuring eight infusion bays, two of which are entirely private and six of which are semi-private, the layout of the bays empowers patients to choose the level of social interaction they desire on a given day. An exam room, consult room, staff break room, waiting area, and technical support spaces fill out the remainder of the suite.
With patient experience in mind, the design team specified finishes to create a more high-end atmosphere for patients undergoing treatment. Warm wood tones and flowing organic forms in the flooring and central nurse station avoid sharp edges. Custom translucent sliding doors in the infusion bays feature soothing monochromatic graphics evocative of mountains and sky.
