Located at the bustling juncture of a high-traffic parking garage and the entrance to a primary bike route, this 4,020 s.f. ground-up clinic addresses the need for university staff healthcare on the UC Davis campus. The single-story clinic features nine exam rooms, blood draw, and support spaces for clinic staff, and is currently in the process of attaining LEED-NC Silver certification.

Although UC Davis Health has a large presence in the Sacramento region, they lacked a clinic on the UC Davis campus that could serve the needs of their university staff. Recognizing this gap in service, they sought to create a convenient point of access for staff members to have routine medical care while on-campus.

Due to the need to complete the clinic prior to the open enrollment period, this design-build project required particularly close coordination between the project team to maintain the compact scheduling requirements. By identifying and eliminating unnecessary costs and focusing on the use of best practices, the project was able to be constructed quickly and efficiently, successfully meeting the project deadline.
